This product has extremely strong bactericidal and bleaching effects, and is widely used as a high-efficiency bactericidal disinfectant in civil health, animal husbandry and animal husbandry, plant protection, etc., as well as a washing and bleaching agent for cotton and hemp chemical fiber fabrics, a wool shrinkable agent, and also used for rubber chlorination, battery materials, organic synthesis industry and dry bleaching of clothing.

usage method:

1. Disinfection of drinking water: add 0.4g per 100kg of water, mix well and stand for a period of time.

2. Disinfection of swimming pool: 3-5g per cubic meter in the swimming pool every day.

3. Treatment of industrial circulating cooling water: add 0.5g per 1m3 of water. The concentration of free chlorine in the cooling water is generally controlled between 0.25-0.5ppm, and the pH value is preferably 7-8.


4. Others:

(1) Tableware disinfection. Add 0.25 g to every 5 kg of water and soak the washed tableware for 5 minutes.

(2) Sewage and feces treatment. The odor can be eliminated by adding 5g per cubic meter of sewage or feces.

(3) Seed Sterilization and disinfection. Using TCCA as seed disinfection can break the dormancy period of seeds, improve the germination rate of seeds, and inhibit the occurrence of diseases. It is also important that it does not have environmental pollution and is harmless to people and animals. The method is to immerse seeds in 0.2% TCCA aqueous solution for 12 hours.

Historical development:

The overseas consumption and production of trichloroisocyanuric acid are mainly in the United States, Japan and Western Europe, and the domestic demand is about 6kt. With the continuous expansion of the application scope of this product, the demand shows an upward trend. In China, research began in the 1960s. In the 1970s, there were pilot tests and small batch production. In the 1980s, there were more than 20 trial production or trial production of such products and 30 production plants.


Domestic market:

Disinfection and sterilization of sericulture and aquaculture are the main consumption areas of trichloroisocyanuric acid in China, accounting for 50% ~ 60% of the total consumption. With the improvement of people's living standards, the increase of silk and aquatic products will certainly drive the increase of trichloroisocyanuric acid demand. The serious pollution of drinking water in China has caused people's high concern. In order to ensure the quality of water, the product tablets used for drinking water disinfection will receive much attention. In addition, it can not only improve the utilization rate of circulating water, purify water quality and save water consumption, but also ensure the normal, stable and safe operation of the circulating water system and greatly reduce the comprehensive energy consumption.


According to statistics, in 2002, the actual consumption of trichloroisocyanuric acid in China was about 30000 tons. The amount of disinfection in silkworm breeding and aquaculture accounted for 50% of the total consumption, the amount of disinfection in medical and catering industries was 15%, the amount of daily disinfection was 10%, and the consumption of domestic water and circulating water treatment accounted for 8%. The consumption of agriculture, fishery, textile, papermaking and swimming pool will increase in the future.


Due to the relatively high cost of producing trichloroisocyanuric acid in foreign countries and the certain restrictions on the production of chlorinated products in foreign countries, some small and medium-sized enterprises in foreign countries have stopped producing trichloroisocyanuric acid and instead imported it from developing countries, and then produced its compounded preparation to form the final product. Therefore, China's export volume of this product has been on the rise in recent years.
