Humic acid sodium salt, with the chemical formula of c9h8na2o4, is a dark amorphous particle. It is non-toxic, odorless and corrosive, and is very soluble in water. It is mainly used for astringency, hemostasis and antidiarrheal. For hematemesis, bloody stool, diarrhea, vomiting, epigastric pain, diarrhea in children, spleen deficiency, diarrhea for a long time, diarrhea for a long time. Humic acid sodium is a kind of macromolecular organic weak acid sodium salt with multiple functions, which is made from weathered coal, peat and lignite through special processing. Its structure is relatively complex. It is known that humic acid molecules contain benzene rings, fused rings and some heterocycles (such as pyrrole, furan, indole, etc.). There are bridge bonds between each aromatic ring, and there are various functional groups on the aromatic ring, mainly carboxyl, phenolic, hydroxyl, methoxy, quinone, etc. Sodium humate contains more than 75% humic acid in dry basis. It is a good veterinary medicine and feed additive for the production of green milk, meat and egg food.

Humic acid has been used as medicine for a long time in China, and it was applied as early as the Northern Song Dynasty (1127 A.D.). The "rotten ancient wood of East wall soil" and "black gold stone" recorded in Li Shizhen's Compendium of Materia Medica in the Ming Dynasty actually refer to peat and weathered coal. However, the development and utilization of humic acid has been going on for half a century. As early as 1902, Germany first used ammonia from peat recovered gas to produce ammonium humate. Since then, scientific and technological workers in many countries have done a lot of work in the use of humic acid in industry, agriculture, medical and health care, and started later in China. There were some early work in the late 1950s and early 1960s, but it was really encouraged and promoted by the state after the mid-1970s, The research of humic acid sodium in animal husbandry and veterinary medicine is a new topic discussed at home and abroad in recent years.

Manufacturing process:
Humic acid in weathered coal is extracted with a certain proportion of sodium hydroxide solution, separated from the residue, concentrated and dried to obtain solid sodium humate products. The specific process is as follows: the weathered coal is first wet milled to obtain a coal slurry with a particle size of less than 20 mesh, which is put into the batching tank, the calculated amount of caustic soda is added, the pH is controlled to 11, and the liquid-solid ratio is 9:1. After mixing, it is sent to the extraction tank. The jacketed steam is heated to raise the temperature in the tank to 85 ~ 90 ℃, and the mixing reaction is 0.5h. It is unloaded into the sedimentation tank to separate the solid and liquid, and the upper clear liquid is transferred to the evaporator to concentrate to 10Be, which is pumped to the spray drying tower for drying.
(1). Pharmacological effect of sodium humate
1. Activation and absorption of feed ingredients
Due to its large molecular weight, humic acid can also be associated with larger particles in a certain medium, so it has colloidal properties and adsorption capacity, forms good ion exchange and catalysis, and promotes the activation and absorption of feed ingredients.
1.1 make all kinds of complex molecular nutrients in the feed fully decomposed and organically combined, increase gastrointestinal function, and promote protein assimilation.
1.2 improve the permeability of animal cell membrane and protoplasm, increase the interstitial water content and cell water content of muscle cells, and cause the phenomenon of smooth hair and tender skin of pigs.
1.3 the adsorption of humic acid makes feed nutrients pass through the intestines slowly, enhances the absorption and digestion time, and improves the absorption rate of nutrients.
1.4 humic acid molecules are rich in nitrogen and have a strong absorption effect on amino acids. It makes full use of non protein ammoniates in feed, and feed protein is converted into muscle protein to a higher extent, giving play to the growth potential of lean meat and improving the proportion of lean meat. At the same time, humic acid molecules remaining in the intestinal tract can also absorb ammonia in feces, which not only reduces the odor of feces, but also increases fertilizer efficiency due to the absorption of ammonia.
1.5 the quinone group contained in humic acid participates in the oxidation-reduction process of the body, makes metabolism vigorous, promotes cell proliferation and accelerates growth.
1.6 sodium humate can improve gastrointestinal function, promote gastric juice secretion, increase appetite, promote nutrients to enter the body faster, stimulate the growth of beneficial bacteria in the gastrointestinal tract, and inhibit the reproduction of spoilage bacteria.
1.7 sodium humate can promote digestion and absorption, so it can make better absorption and utilization of mineral elements in feed compatibility, and give full play to the role of mineral elements and vitamins.
2. Effect on endocrine function
2.1 humic acid can stimulate the secretion of some glands, inhibit sympathetic nerves, cause drowsiness, increase the time for the animal to sleep or be quiet, and generally reduce the body movement and visceral activities of the whole body. On the one hand, it is conducive to the assimilation of the whole body, so that each organ system can be recovered in time. On the other hand, when the animal sleeps, the body temperature decreases, the heat consumption and excess exercise energy consumption decrease, and the storage energy is relatively increased, Thus, the deposition of muscle and fat is increased and the feed conversion rate is improved.
2.2 humic acid can activate the function of pituitary adrenal cortex, promote the secretion of ACTH, increase the secretion of estrogen, and stimulate the balance of thyroid gland.
3. Antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effect
3.1 humic acid can activate the pituitary adrenal system, promote the release of corticosteroids and ACTH, inhibit the synthesis of prostate e (prostaglandin is the mediator of pain process), and resist the increase of capillary permeability caused by amine.
3.2 sodium humate is a polymer complex and contains alkaloids, so it has strong adsorption capacity for intestinal inflammatory substances and toxic substances, and has convergence effect on intestinal mucosa. In addition, due to the structure of sodium humate contains various active groups, it can shrink blood vessels, reduce capillary permeability, and play an anti-inflammatory and hemostatic role.
3.3 under the action of various enzymes, the active group in sodium humate molecule can decompose more primary oxygen, showing bactericidal effect.
4. Antiviral effect
4.1 humic acid is different from antibiotics. It is not decomposed by mold and bacteria. At the same time, it can denature viral protein and produce antiviral effect.
4.2 sodium humate can prevent DNA viruses (bare and encapsulated) from being adsorbed and connected to cells and from reproducing. In addition, it can inhibit reverse transcriptase activity and virus synthesis
5. Promoting wound healing
5.1 sodium humate has a good function of Removing Putrefaction and generating muscle for soft trauma purulent infection. Under the stimulation and damage of microorganisms, the infected body cells suffer from local cell hypoxia and necrosis, separating harmful ions and poisons. This toxic product destroys health and expands the wound. After sodium humate contacted with the wound, due to the changes of physical and chemical effects, metal ions and poisons were eliminated, and the odor and secretion of pus were also reduced.
5.2 sodium humate can quickly form a protective film on the surface of trauma and make micro blood vessels contract, which can stop bleeding. Due to the molecular structure of sodium humate, it is both an oxidant and a reductant. It can separate primary oxygen from secondary energy, increase the internal respiration of cells, promote cell metabolism, and is conducive to the survival of ecological cells and the growth of granulation, so that the infection can be effectively controlled.
5.3 sodium humate can increase the number of platelets, constrict blood vessels, reduce capillary permeability, reverse abnormal microcirculation perfusion and promote the return to normal.
5.4 sodium humate can stimulate the synthesis of prostaglandins in gastric mucosa, increase the blood flow of gastric mucosa, protect gastric mucosa and heal ulcer.
