1.Rubber industry field

(1) As an anti-aging agent
In the rubber industry, it is the main non polluting anti-aging agent, which has protective effects against oxygen, weather aging, and static aging, and can reduce discoloration during rubber vulcanization. It is suitable for various materials such as natural rubber, diene synthetic rubber and latex, especially for manufacturing transparent, white and bright colored products, such as transparent rubber products, white or light colored products, foam latex products, etc., which can keep the color of these products stable and free from pollution in the production process.

(2) As a copper plating brightener
Dissolved in alkaline solution, it can be used as a copper plating brightener to make the coating bright and have a leveling effect, and can also increase the working current density. It is often used in conjunction with copper plating brighteners N, SP, etc. to enhance the copper plating effect.

(3) As an antioxidant
2-Mercaptobenzimidazole can be used as an antioxidant for natural rubber, diene synthetic rubber, and latex, and can also be used for polyethylene.

It is a secondary antioxidant that can achieve significant synergistic effects when used in combination with other antioxidants such as DNP, AP, and other non polluting antioxidants. In rubber, it is easily dispersed and does not change color under sunlight, but it is slightly polluting. When used alone, the dosage is generally 1-1.5 parts; When the dosage exceeds 2 portions, there will be a phenomenon of frost spraying. The dosage is 0.5-1 part in latex foam rubber and 0.5 part in transparent rubber products. Due to its bitter taste, this product is not suitable for use in rubber products that come into contact with food.

2. Medical field

(1) As an intermediate in drug synthesis
It is an important intermediate for the preparation of proton pump inhibitors such as lansoprazole and rabeprazole. Lansoprazole and rabeprazole belong to the second and third generation proton pump inhibitors, respectively, and are currently one of the most commonly used drugs for treating gastrointestinal ulcers. Their main mechanism of action is to convert into sulfonamide compounds in a strong acidic environment.

Its toxicity is lower than sulfone drugs and its efficacy is relatively low, but it can develop resistance and has no accumulation effect. It is suitable for patients with various types of leprosy or allergies to sulfone drugs. Usage and dosage: Take orally 12.5-25mg daily, divided into 1-2 doses, gradually increasing to 100mg daily within 4-6 weeks, divided into 4 doses, taken for 6 days and stopped for 1 day, taken for 3 months and rested for 1 week.
